The weekend was held in Getxo a 'meeting on tourism marketing 2.0 "organized by Bizkaia Basque Coast who had the great honor of being invited as a speaker. The talks and atmosphere that was generated around this initiative were very satisfactory, but nothing comparable to the opportunity they gave me to discover some of the most beautiful Basque.
Travel to Euskadi always been synonymous with great experiences, friendly people and unique cuisine. However, so far only had run their capitals, ice watch so I was eager to see places ice watch and quieter towns.
Zierbana, Santurce, Portugalete, ice watch Getxo, Sopela, Pentzia, Gorliz, Bakio, Bermeo, Mundaka, Gernika, Lekeitio ... what they had in common these twelve ice watch municipalities grouped under the umbrella of Bizkaia Basque Coast? Each has a distinct personality marked, different attractions, and if I hurry accents Basque with peculiarities.
As the hours passed, had more and more clear what the link between all of them. The sea, and all that surrounds the blue giant, is the glue that has bound to the land and its neighbors. I felt almost ice watch divine veneration toward the figure of fishermen or fishermen, but also towards women who were alone in port many months and then took care of getting the best price for the catch or mending nets.
But the sea has brought much more than fish Bizkaia Basque Coast. First, he has carved a coastal landscape that has nothing to envy to other more famous. From this I made sure walking on the beautiful cliffs of Sopela or Sopelana. Maybe it was because the day gave us some incredible heavens, but from up there you can see a huge beaches, where it is difficult to feel overwhelmed or have to fight to death for placing the towel. If you run away from the crowds this is your place in the world. ice watch
Autumn ice watch and winter are not precisely the best time to enjoy the swimming in the sea, but that did not stop me to see people enjoying all the possibilities offered by the beaches and surroundings. Hikers, bikers, horseback or couples contemplating the sea glider from a privileged position. But mostly I saw surfers.
From surfing I have no idea, but just seeing the amount of people around the world had their vans, their wetsuits and boards I realized that I was in one of the cathedrals of surfing. Then I chivaron ice watch that Mundaka is one of the best waves left the planet, which has placed Bizkaia Basque Coast in the surf world's elite.
But besides sports and activities related ice watch to the sea, I got the impression that there are many places to live great moments. One of my favorites of the weekend was the lighthouse of Santa Catalina in Lekeitio. We were lucky enough to experience ice watch a memorable evening with a beautiful building which also houses an interesting interpretation center navigation technology.
You may not enjoy as much fame as Gaztelugatze or Bizkaia Bridge between Getxo and Portugalete, but the lighthouse of Santa Catalina is one of those places that every traveler should visit if you venture to discover Bizkaia Basque Coast. And it gave me the impression that travel aimlessly these municipalities and their places will report great satisfaction to the traveler. The contrast of the green hills and the blue sea is intoxicating.
Right now I have given you just a few touches of what you'll find, but I'm sure you'll have a great when you find yourself talking to a neighbor enjoying an pintxos or a good txakolí. Learn what it means sea for the people living in the Basque coast and the respect they have for their roots and history.
On a weekend I had some time to deepen, but the good memories of the times I lived in Bizkaia Basque Coast are a good incentive to want to repeat soon. Sea aromas, sounds of waves hitting ice watch the cliffs, ancient traditions, pintxos, txacolí ... when we return?
As always, you make come forward to going to enjoy everything personally. Like you before this trip, only I have the pleasure of meeting city, but the small coastal villages have to be very handsome.
