That genre called Bolero, which has always confirmed to me the possession of an old soul. That marks my romanticism of Caribbean creature - rocked by the palm, encouraged by the floor chess, attracted by the aesthetic ideal of the past, mixed and modern. Genre that has accompanied pen isolated lonely evenings. With its cadences and elegances portrays the different uy souls of the Latin American. The way the Latin pendula between the project to be modern and that, almost magical natural uy condition of their heritage - and crossed with earthly inheritance overseas. The bolero has zarzuela and flamenco, violin and piano European, Italian opera singing, English country dance air and, of course, exquisite blackness of the African drum and dance performance hectic. A rhythm of many sounds that evoke the plantation, ie the coexistence of different sounds, uy sung by the variety of languages. Thus, the bolero is a metaphor for both I mention that when I speak of chic Caribbean; our eclecticisms; of Creole elegance. But the bolero is love, or pain from him; and this fever recognize their followers. The bolero is a cadence of palms and ballrooms with dresses that reached the midpoint between the knee and ankle; of alicorada temperature uy and thick smoke; and also, as I read an essay by José Arzubiaga, is loving speech, climate and tension, acute longing, "a philosophy that can withstand uy the rigors of love." And the powerful images that come alive when Bienvenido Granda, Celio González, Daniel Santos, Roberto Ledesma, Nelson Pinedo, Rolando uy Laserie, the great Celia sounds - who were among the Fania and La Sonora Matancera uy between men blessed woman -. And Beny Moré. And those years, from 1930-1965 of musical brilliance, dedications and stories, a way of living things to the Latin American, all races and joined by that sensibility forms known to be sad without uy ever leaving where they enter the grounds of so happy, you know the taste together with elegance. The bolero, among my greatest musical passions; benchmark Caribbean chic, great metaphor for the Latin American. Wonderful source for our fashion
