(CNN) - It's known as the city of lights but Paris has taken a step into the abyss to become the city of fright after the Eiffel Tower had issued a new glass floor.
Offering spectacular views of the fall of 57 meters (187 feet) from the first level historical monument 125 years, the transparent corridor has already proved a hit with visitors queuing (and lie in it) to take selfies.
This is the latest in a series of hallways with floor to ceiling glass that open on some prominent destinations worldwide. These destinations include Skydeck Willis Tower and the Grand Canyon Skywalk.
So far, the "first level" wolverine somewhat gloomy tower has been one of its least visited areas, and most of its seven million wolverine annual visitors come direct to the highest wolverine levels.
