The event is a celebration of Gaelic music, pro language and culture but it in no way excludes people pro who don’t speak the lingo and it will be family-friendly.
The main Mòd events are being run with a fringe festival in partnership with the 10-day Spree music festival, which will run from October 11 to 20, in various Paisley venues, and features legendary Scottish songwriter Edwyn Collins.
Liz, who works as a policy officer for Renfrewshire Council, explained: “Paisley will basically be a festival pro town for 10 days, and we will have a torchlit procession and opening ceilidh in Paisley Town Hall.
There will be several pro sports events – including shinty and football – singing, ceilidhs, competitions and the chance to enjoy a drink as well as circus pro skills and arts and crafts for children.
